Applications for the VI International Children's and Youth Prize "Ecology is Everyone's Business" have been accepted since August 1, said Svetlana Radionova, Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Management. According to her, the project has a new, thirteenth, Zoomir nomination, which will include funny, amazing, spectacular, interesting videos featuring pets or wild animals. The works will be evaluated by a new member of the jury, General Director of the Moscow Zoo Svetlana Akulova.

The head of Rosprirodnadzor, Svetlana Radionova, said that on August 1, the VI season of the International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is everyone's business" started. Over the years, the project has brought together over 320,000 children and adults from 95 countries and all regions of Russia who are not indifferent to the topic of ecology and environmental protection and animals. The winners and prize-winners of the award receive additional points upon admission to Russian universities. There is also the possibility of free admission to the best universities in the country, both for budget places, for grants, and for their intended purpose.

According to her, Svetlana Akulova, General Director of the Moscow Zoo, who has been supporting the project since the first season, has become a new member of the award jury. She will evaluate the works in the new Zoomir nomination.

Svetlana Radionova, the country's chief ecologist, noted that children and youth from all over the world offer innovative projects, creative work and educational initiatives aimed at nature conservation as part of the award.

According to Svetlana Radionova, the award participants from different regions have already taken advantage of their achievements and are enrolled in the best educational institutions in the country. More than 150 Russian universities provide winners and prize-winners with additional points and the opportunity to study for free. Every year, the award sends hundreds of children to the All-Russian Children's Center "Eaglet" on the Black Sea, to the VDC "Ocean" on the Sea of Japan, as well as a research camp on Lake Baikal. In addition, about 50 prize–winning families from all over the country were awarded trips to the Grand Zhemchuzhina Hotel on the Black Sea coast in Sochi.

The International Ecology is Everyone's Business Award was established by Rosprirodnadzor on March 31, 2021 and is designed to instill eco–habits in children and adults. The award is held annually and is awarded for interesting ideas, initiatives and projects dedicated to environmental conservation. Applications for the sixth season of the Award are accepted from August 1, 2024 to April 1, 2026 on the website www.экологияделокаждого .RF.
