The Central Chernozem Interregional Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources and Voronezh State Technical University have signed an agreement on cooperation within the framework of the International Children's and Youth Award "Ecology is Everyone's Business". The document was signed at a meeting of the Academic Council of the University with the participation of the teaching staff.

According to the document, starting in 2026, laureates, winners and prize-winners will be awarded additional points upon admission to bachelor's, master's, and specialty programs. They will also be assisted in providing places for targeted training.

Alexey Karyakin, Head of the Department, thanked Dmitry Proskurin, Rector of the University, for supporting the main environmental education project of Rosprirodnadzor. He noted that the Ecology is Everyone's Business Award was organized by Svetlana Radionova, head of Rosprirodnadzor, in 2021 to encourage talented and gifted children and adults who dedicate their work to the topic of environmental conservation and protection. "It is very important that the ideas of the award participants receive support and recognition. In addition, participation in it opens the doors for young people to top higher education institutions in Russia and gives them a chance to get a high-quality education," emphasized Alexey Karyakin.

Voronezh State Technical University is one of the leading engineering universities in Russia, and also holds high positions in Russian ratings of the quality of education and employment of graduates.

In addition, the university is actively engaged in scientific research, especially in the fields of ecology, energy, information technology and mechanical engineering.
