The International children's and Youth Prize "Ecology is everyone's business" has won the competition of women's eco-projects of the BRICS countries. The Rosprirodnadzor Award became the best in the nomination "Ecological Culture", the head of the Service Svetlana Radionova announced today.

The Rosprirodnadzor prize "Ecology is everyone's business" won in the nomination "Ecological Culture" in the first international competition of women's environmental projects of the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum "Green Future". Svetlana Radionova, the country's chief ecologist, noted that it is women all over the world who are leaders in the fight against environmental challenges. She thanked the organizers of the contest for their important initiative and the opportunity to unite the efforts of activists from different countries to protect the environment and nature.

It is women who are the drivers in the field of environmental protection and form a culture of respect for nature. It is women who take the initiative and instill eco-values in children and adolescents, promote environmental protection, involve the younger generation in science, form an eco-friendly lifestyle and business. Thanks to the competition, which promotes the best eco–projects, tells the whole world about them and provides an opportunity to develop international cooperation," said Svetlana Radionova, head of Rosprirodnadzor.

The competition motivates women to create eco-projects and strengthens cooperation between the BRICS countries in the field of environmental protection. According to the organizers of the environmental projects competition of the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum "Green Future", the idea is not only to identify international corporate practices in the field of ecology and sustainable development, but also to create opportunities for the development of international eco-projects in Russia. The organizers of the competition were the Council of the Eurasian Women's Forum at the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the State Corporation Rosatom.

The international Ecology is Everyone's Business Award was established by Rosprirodnadzor on March 31, 2021 and is designed to instill environmental habits in both children and adults. The award is held annually and is awarded for interesting ideas, initiatives and projects dedicated to environmental conservation. All regions of Russia and over 80 countries from five continents participate in the project. The winners and prize-winners of the award have the opportunity to receive not only memorable gifts, but also preferences to the best 150 universities in the country.
